The Situation: High cost to manually process invoices and orders
When Hitfar contacted eBridge Connections, they were searching for an integration solution that was cost-effective, scalable and could handle large transaction volumes. "The volume of invoices and orders between our main supplier and customers was getting to a point where it was not economically feasible to process them manually anymore," said Dale Leibel, Hitfar's IT consultant. In addition, with no-in house IT department it wasn't feasible to build and manage their own integrated EDI solution.
The Solution: EDI document integration with SAP Business One
eBridge Connections provided Hitfar with a highly flexible and cost effective integrated EDI solution. As new relationships were established with suppliers and retailers across North America, eBridge assisted Hitfar during onboarding by quickly enabling EDI connections with these new trading partners.
With the goal of automating EDI document processing, the eBridge Professional Services Group first connected Hitfar’s SAP Business One application with the eBridge Connections integration platform. For each trading partner the solution was configured to retrieve outbound documents from SAP Business One, convert them into a EDI format, and send to the partner for processing. Conversely, inbound EDI documents from each trading partner were set up to be retrieved, translated, and imported into SAP Business One.
The Results
eBridge Connections provided Hitfar with a highly flexible and cost effective integrated EDI solution that helped Hitfar establish new relationships with retailers across North America. “As the volume of our EDI transactions has rapidly increased, so too has our ROI,” said Leibel.
