Become an ERP master | Creating invoices in NetSuite
Monday, November 5, 2018Lindsay Hampson
We have a merchant that fulfills sales orders outside of NetSuite but uses NetSuite for their financial reporting.
Instead of creating a Sales Order, it made more sense to simplify the processing of an order within NetSuite. We made their integration flow 'create an Invoice' instead of 'create a Sales Order.'
Easy, simple and smart.

Five Tips To Help You Choose The Right EDI VAN For Your Business
Tuesday, August 7, 2018Lauren Macdonald
Most businesses engage with Value Added Networks (VANs) when they are mandated to do EDI by a major retailer, like Costco or target, or they want to supply a vendor with goods. They often base their VAN selection decision on basic features that fit their present-day needs and agenda, as well as initial cost.
Unfortunately, many quickly realize that large VANs will increase their fees unexpectedly and before they know it they are paying out thousands of dollars each month. The reality is that EDI VANs should be looked at carefully, considering price and reliability. VANs form a key gateway through which sellers will communicate and exchange business documents with their biggest and most valued trading partners and customers.
Therefore, a VAN should be selected on the basis of growth long into the future

Describe Amazon to John Lennon. What would you say?
Friday, August 3, 2018Lindsay Hampson
Amazon is as important to many North American consumers as their local store is. And so, sellers want to be on it. It’s a no brainer for the bottom line. To sell on Amazon, sellers need to have good products and flawless customer service. If they don’t, the world will hear about it, and they’ll slide down the search results and eventually right off Amazon entirely.

Spend Amazon Prime Day Buying These Hilarious Products (And Some Throwbacks)

What does the US Supreme Court ruling on State Sales Tax mean for you?
Wednesday, June 27, 2018Lauren Macdonald
If you sell exclusively online with no physical in-store locations, up until now you may not have been collecting state sales tax, which in some cases may have made your online goods appear cheaper than some of your competition.
However, things are about to change for merchants that have previously been in this position.
In a US Supreme Court ruling last week, a 1992 precedent that had barred states from requiring businesses with no “physical presence” in the state (such as out-of-state online retailers), to collect sales taxes, has now been overturned. Can you guess why? Yes – the online commerce tidal wave.

These smart, Summer themed retailers are taking advantage of eBridge Connections' pre-built Microsoft Dynamics GP connector to automate data and take back their Summer vacation time
Thursday, June 21, 2018Lauren Macdonald
Often people think of the Holiday season as the busiest time for retailers, and in a lot of cases, that can certainly be true! But other retailers who sell things like barbeques, hiking equipment, hunting/camping/fishing gear, bicycles, sunscreen/tanning lotions, etc., find that the Summer months are actually when they experience their biggest peak in sales.
The problem these companies and their employees often face is that manual data entry can take away from their hard-earned vacation time.

The high cost of disconnected data: How eCommerce and ERP integration can eliminate your data entry challenges
Thursday, June 14, 2018Lauren Macdonald
After spending some time chatting with retailers at
IRCE 2018 in Chicago last week, one big takeaway was that disparate data across selling channels and back-office applications can be very costly for businesses.
Tons of merchants selling online and/or in-store stopped by our booth, all asking some variation of this common question: “
How do I get my order, inventory, shipping/tracking, product, and customer data to flow automatically between my accounting/ERP system and my sales channels?”
These conversations all solidified what we already knew: There is value (both in time and money) to be gained from automating data flow across disparate business systems and applications so that they communicate effectively as one cohesive unit.
