The Situation: A Lack of Flexibility
Global Supply Solutions/GSS Gear's previous eCommerce solution lacked the flexibility to deliver a complete shopping experience to its clients. After deciding upon a new shopping cart the challenge was to find a partner who could integrate order processing and inventory management with their Sage 100 (formerly MAS 200) solution. An integration solution from eBridge Connections, linking with the Nexternal eCommerce platform, provided both flexibility and the automated exchange of large volumes of data.
The Solution: Multi-Channel eCommerce Integration
GSS selected eBridge Connections because they were the only integration solution provider that could fulfill their specific business requirements for integration with Nexternal. The pre-built eBridge Connections adapter for Sage 100 and connector for Nexternal were installed remotely by the eBridge Professional Services team. Once installed, the eBridge integration solution was configured to automatically retrieve orders from the GSS Nexternal store and post them to their Sage ERP as sales orders. In the other direction, the solution was designed to pick up inventory and shipment updates from Sage 100 and publish them to the Nexternal storefront.
To further streamline business operations, GSS proceeded to add an integration with their Amazon Marketplace account. This was quickly implemented with the availability of eBridge’s pre-built Amazon Marketplace connector. The integration was implemented in a similar fashion, with orders coming down from Amazon into Sage 100 and inventory and shipment updates moving in the other direction.
“The integration with Amazon has saved us so much time and effort. It’s incredible. We would not be able to keep up with order processing if it were to be done manually,” said Penny James, IT Manager at GSS. “We can reflect what we actually have in inventory on Amazon. There is no way we could know what our inventory count is for a specific SKU at any given time if it weren’t for the integration.”
